A look inside: Networking
Tests whether you can reason about a request's whole journey, not just recite protocol trivia.
Q: How do you debug a 'connection refused' vs. a 'connection timeout' error?
Connection refused means something at the destination actively rejected the connection — usually nothing is listening on that port, or a firewall explicitly rejected it. Connection timeout means no response came back at all — the packet may have been silently dropped by a firewall, or the host is genuinely unreachable. Refused points you to the destination's service config; timeout points you to network path/firewall rules.
